Indian film industry has completed 100 years today.
The first Indian full length feature film ,'Raja Harishchandra', was released exactly 100 years back on May 3rd, 1913. It was a silent film directed and produced by legendary film maker Dada Saheb Phalke.
Since then, our Indian film industry have produced many master pieces, we can feel proud of. Many great actors, directors, technicians and producers have contributed a lot to the industry.
Cinema has become not only as a means of entertainment, but also as a part of life of the people of India.
The term 'Unity in Diversity' is justified at the theatres, where people regardless of age, religion, caste etc come together at one place and laugh together for comedy, drop tears together for sentimental scenes and get excited together for action sequences.
In the present generation of busy lives, people are looking for a little entertainment and movies are the first thing they think of then.
We shall honour all those actors, directors, technicians etc who have entertained us for these 100 years on this special occasion. We wish a happy centenary celebrations for Indian cinema.
