Directed by Vedantam Raghavaiah, the film was produced by D.L.Narayana under Vinoda Pictures banner. The film's music score was also a big hit. Some songs were composed by C.R.Subburaman, and as he suddenly demised, M.S.Viswanathan and Ramamoorthy composed the remaining two songs.

ANR says that it was the most memorable film in his career, and they had worked very carefully as the story was already known to all and many had criticized them that he and Savitri will not be fit to the roles.
