Allu Ramalingaiah Award To Kota

Senior actor Kota Srinivasa Rao will be felicitated with the Padmasri Dr. Allu Ramalingaiah Kala Peetham National Award for the year 2013, as per an announcement made by the organization committee. Kota has acquired a legendary status in Telugu cinema with his original acting abilities and enthralled the audiences in not just Telugu but Tamil and Hindi languages as well. The actor has also made his debut with 'Pranam Khareedu', also popular as Mega Star Chiranjeevi's debut film and acted in over 300 films till date.

His roles will be etched in Telugu audience's minds thru his roles in movies like Aha Naa Pellanta, Chitram Bhalare Vichitram, Aame, Little Soldiers, Satruvu, Ganesh, Aa Naluguru etc. The award was earlier conferred on legendary actors Manorama, Brahmanandam, Johnny Lever, Rajendra Prasad, K. Vishwanath, Padmanabham, EVV Satyanarayana, Kaikala Satyanarayana and Tanikella Bharani.

The award a Golden Anklet will be presented in a special event organized at Tummalapalli Kala Kshetram in Vijayawada on the 30th September to Kota Srinivasa Rao. The event will be presided over by Sanskritika Bandhu Saripalli Kondala Rao and attended by several stalwarts of TFI. Cultural activities and performances will precede the function in the evening.
