For the first time in Telugu film history, a director is making a straight Hollywood film and the honors belong to the versatile technician RP Patnaik who enthralled the Telugu film lovers with his music for over a decade and then turned a director, made a few films in Telugu, unsuccessfully though, acted in them. RPP stands tall in the independent movement of TFI with his never ending spirit to make films. RP is now coming up with 'Amy', a complete Hollywood film with an all American cast and crew except for him, the producers Prasad Kunishetty and Ramesh Noothi. The film is being released on the VOD (Video On Demand) and Home Video formats on the 1st October.
RP said 'The movie is about the Amysh tribals who use only natural things on the earth, avoiding using artificial things like Power, vehicles etc. So, the idea stems from a thought of what happens in a girl's life belonging to the tribe, the struggle between good and evil ghosts etc.
Prasad Kunishetty said 'We are from Software industry but produced this with a passion for films. It took us two years to complete the film. John Sheenberg, a well known Hollywood producer came forward to market this in the USA'
Christopher Atkins, Jessica, Kurt Peterson, Jane Doharthy and Chris Smith played the key roles in the film. Written, music scored and directed by RP Patnaik.
