Akash and Nrupur Mehta starrer 'Amavasya' is a film being produced in three languages Telugu, Hindi and Tamil simultaneously and is the story of a lovers couple turning ghosts to take revenge on a sex maniac who killed them. The film has completed the dubbing works and is all set to go for the final mixing. Rakesh Sawanth, brother of Bollywood character actress Rakhi Sawanth is producing and directing the film on Jayas Films banner. Rakesh is popular for his two films casting Rajesh Khanna in his last days.

An item song has been picturized on Seema and will standout in the sleuth of item songs invading the screen, said the director. Akash, Nrupur Mehta, Ruby Ahmed, Sonam, Mumaith Khan, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Jeeva, Sravan, Sambhavana Seth, Jitendra Singh Sahu and 'Lagaan' fame Rajesh Vivek etc are playing key roles in the film. Syed Ahmed is composing the music for the film. Camera work by Drid Basu, aided by lots of visual effects will highlight the film's thrilling screenplay, said Rakesh Sawanth.
