It was again a celebration of sorts for the unit of Bommarillu. Close on the heels of having the film’s audio cassette being released, the team had the audio CD at a function in Prasad Labs yesterday.
The film stars Siddharth and Genelia in the leads. Directed by Sukumar and produced by Dil Raju, Bommarillu will release in August.
The cynosure at the audio CD launch function was the film’s heroine Genelia, who it must be mentioned was not present during the cassette release function a few days back.
The chirpy Genelia spoke highly of her co-star Siddharth. The two share a unique rapport as they had started together in Boys.
Genelia spoke in glowing terms about Siddharth’s sporting attitude in allowing her equal space in the film’s promo materials. She recalled her association with him since the Boys days and said she was very happy for having made it so big. ‘He has taught me many things in acting,’ she gushed.
Siddharth is now an all-India star after the success of Rang De Basanti. Siddharth, for his part, said Genelia was the senior actress as he has done only four films till now while she has completed 12 movies.
Bommarillu would be a youthful entertainer, he said and spoke about how he was impressed with the way the director went about his work.
He also said Dil Raju needed to be praised for backing such a theme.
Bommarillu would be a commercial yet realistic movie, he pointed out. Dil Raju said the audio has got a good response already. He opined that he was on the way to scoring a fourth hit on the trot.
Siddharth and Genelia are named Siddu and Hasini in the film.
Music director Devi Sri Prasad said the theme and story helped him to deliver good music for the movie. |
