The audio release function of 'Rakhee' directed by creative director Krishnavamsi, presented by S Gopal Reddy and produced by KL Narayana on the banner of Durga Arts with Young Tiger NTR, Ileana and Charmme in the lead was held at Hotel Taj Residency in Hyderabad on November 7. Later, Mamta Mohandas joined him in dancing to the tunes of another song. KL Narayana's daughters Kavya and Veda, S Gopal Reddy's daughter Sandhya tied the rakhees to NTR. Then Ileana and Charmme also tied rakhees to S Gopal Reddy and KL Narayana respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, NTR says, 'I felt very upset after the crash of 'Narasimhudu'. In fact, I faced lot of problems due to the failure of 'Narasimhudu'. At that time, KL Narayana and Sureshbabu bailed me out of crisis. Now I am very happy to do a film for KL Narayana. When Krishnavamsi narrated the story, I reminisced my mother, sisters and others. They gave me the inspiration to do this film. I heartfully wish that the film to be a big success. The film has come out very well, and all the unit members are confident that it would be a definite success.'

After the brief speeches Kavya, Veda and Sandhya together released the audiocassettes. NTR released the audio CD and handed over the first copy to Mamata Mohandas. The Supreme Music company is marketing the audio. According to the representatives of the Supreme Music, a free rakhee would be presented along with each Rakhi audiocassette. Each cassette will also have scratch card from the Videocon company. The lucky winners could get valuable gifts from the Videocon.
