The shooting of 'Gundammagari Manavadu' directed by B Jaya of 'Chantigadu'-fame, presented by K Achireddy and produced by Venkat on the banner of RR Movies, with Ali as hero and debutant heroines Sindhoora and Nikaal in the lead began amidst several prominent film personalities at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad on January 15.
Mega Star Chiranjeevi gave the clap for the muhurat shot, while D Ramanaidu switched on the camera, director K Raghavendra Rao said 'Ready', while Young Rebel Star said 'Action' for the muhurat shot.
Ali says, 'Director Jaya did not reveal the story, instead showed it through performance. I am sure that the film would be a big hit after 'Yamaleela'. I stopped playing hero since 1997. However, I accepted to do hero as I liked this story.'
Jaya says, "I prepared the story with a firm grip. I read out the subject to the staff of our office and everyone okayed it. Then I narrated it to Ali. Then I revealed it to Tanikella Bharani who is going to play the father of the hero. Everyone said the same thing that the film would be a big hit like 'Yamaleela'. Vadivukkarasi is playing the grandmother's role (Gundamma) in this film. When someone talk about Gundamma, we immediately recall Suryakantam of yesteryears. Now we are sure that her soul would lead this film. Vandemataram Srinivas gave melodious tunes for this flick. Not only that, Tanikella Bharani scripted a song and also rendered it on his own. That song would be a highlight in this flick. We are planning to launch the audio in March and release the film in April as summer special".
Dil Raju, KC Sekhar Babu, Bharadwaja, Arjunaraju, Surender Reddy, Puri Jagannath, Sukumar and several other prominent film personalities attended the launch of the film. |
