The shooting of 'Shankar Dada Zindabad' directed by Prabhudeva and produced on the banner of Gemini Film Circuits with Mega Star, Padma Bhushan, Dr Chiranjeevi in the lead. The film is the remake of a successful Hindi film 'Lage Raho Munnabhai', was launched in Annapurna Studios at Hyderabad on February 9 amidst several prominent film personalities.

Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao gave the clap, Allu Aravind switched on the camera for the muhurat shot.

Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao says, 'Now the sequel wave is on. We remade the story to suit Chiranjeevi's image, without losing the original flavour. Director Prabhudeva worked very hard in preparing the script. The film would be a big success.'

Paruchuri Gopalakrishna, speaking in Telangana slang, says, 'Like Shankar Dada MBBS', this film would also be a super hit. Srikanth, who played the role of ATM in that film, would play the role of Circuits in this film.'

Mega Star Chiranjeevi says, 'There is a reason for employing Prabhudeva as director. Especially, his direction will have a poetic touch. I am sure that there are so many reasons to say that the film would get justice under his direction. In fact, Pawan Kalyan came forward to do the role played by Srikanth in the first version. But I personally refused that character to him. Instead, he would do the role played by Abhishek Bachchan in 'Lage Raho…' All those who worked in my earlier film (Shankar Dada MBBS), including the cast and crew would again work for this film. I am sure that the film would reach the expectations of my fans.'

Prabhudeva says, 'I will present a different kind of dances for my 'brother' Chiranjeevi. They would be quite novel. I thank one and all for giving me this opportunity. The regular shooting of the film would begin from February 15 and complete the shooting by June.'
