'Adivaram Aadavallaku Selavu' directed by Raja Vannemreddy and produced by Leelarani Vannemreddy with Venumadhav, Brahmanandam, Krishna Bhagawan, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Kovai Sarala, Telangana Sakuntala, Geeta Singh in the lead, and Prakash Raj in a key role, was released recently and is running successfully with good revenue collections.
Vamsi International had selected the film as the 'Best Message Oriented film' and felicitated the unit at Ravindra Bharati in Hyderabad recently.
Popular director and Union minister Dasari Narayana Rao, who gave story for this film, was felicitated on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Dasari says, 'It is wrong to have a mean look on small films. Telugu film industry is very honourable industry. But the present day producers are turning it into a dubbing industry.'
He further says, 'Earlier, our heroines used to rule the Bollywood. But now the situation faced a U turn as we are importing girls as heroines and other artistes from Mumbai. Some producers are spending crores of rupees to make a film. Instead, one should plan a specific budget and make a film with limited resources. The best example for one such film is 'Adivaram Aadavallaku Selavu'. There is a rude comment that there are no good stories to make films in Telugu. But I question whether these producers had the patience to listen to good stories and make a right judgment whether that story is worth making the film or not.'
Dr D Ramanaidu, Dr T Subbarami Reddy, K Viswanath, Kanta Rao, Rajasekhar, Jeevitha, Jayasudha, Chalapati Rao, Nannapaneni Rajakumari and others attended the function. |
