Directed by V Samudra and produced by Edara Ranga Rao on the banner of Sai Sarvajit Movies with Nandamuri Kalyanram and Vedika in the lead, the film was titled as 'Vijayadasami'. The title was officially announced by the producer at a function held at Nanakramguda.

Addressing the film journalists, director Samudra says, 'We are christening the film as 'Vijayadasami'. In fact, producer MS Raju had kept this title on his name for his dream project. However, he agreed to give the title to us as he was so affectionate to me. We thank him in this regard. We shot the film in Germany, Austarlia and in Nanakramguda. For heroine Vedika, this is the first straight film in Telugu. She is a talented actress and a very good girl. Saikumar is playing the villain in this movie. Some incidents in hero's family would occur on Vijayadasami day and hence the title would suit at best to the film. The story for the film was given by AM Ratnam. The producer is not compromising at any point and spending money like water. In one of the songs there will be four heroines. We have not yet zeroed in on the artistes so far. We are planning to release the film on September 6.'
