The audio of 'Kalidas' directed by creative director Bharatiraja and produced by K Lakshminarayana with Action King Arjun as hero, Kaajal of 'Lakshmikalyanam'-fame as heroine and versatile artiste Nana Patekar in a special role, was launched here on August 1.

Prominent director K Raghavendra Rao unveiled the audio at the Film Nagar Cultural Club in Hyderabad and handed over the first audiocassette to director Bharatiraja, while noted producer ML Kumar Choudary released the audio CD and handed over the first piece to Chakri.

Popular Bollywood music director Himesh Reshammiya scored music and Supreme Music is marketing the audio.

Speaking on the occasion, director Bharatiraja says, 'My first Telugu film is 'Kotha Jeevithalu'. Later I brought out 'Sitakokachiluka, Aradhana' and in total I have directed some five films in Telugu. Almost all my films were with village backdrop and I prefer making films with new faces. However, I chose city backdrop for this movie and it also has top star artistes. There are five songs in the film and Himesh Reshammiya gave melodious tunes to all the songs. I had brought out the film on the lines of a young director with a feel that I am just 16-year-old.'
