Shooting of a film produced by Padma Shri, Dr M Mohanbabu, on the banner of Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures, under the direction of P Vasu with Yuva Samrat Nagarjuna, young hero Vishnuvardhan as heroes was launched at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad on August 24.

Nata Samrat Akkineni Nageswara Rao gave the clap, while the Movie Moghul Dr D Ramanaidu switched on the camera for the muhurat shot.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, producer Mohanbabu says, 'P Vasu's paternal uncle had brought out a film 'Kuthuru-Kodalu'. Lakshmi Deepak was the director of that film while Dasari is the co-director and I myself was an assistant director during those days. I was paid Rs 50 for that film during those days. Vasu is known to me right from those days. After P Vasu turned a director, I asked him to do a film with me as hero. But it failed to materialise. However, he agreed to do a film now for me with my son Vishnu as hero. The film 'Chandramukhi' directed by P Vasu was a massive hit. In this flick, Nagarjuna's character would be extraordinary. After listening to the story and about his character, he agreed to do this movie. I am grateful and thankful to him. Let me remind that it was P Vasu who gave the story for my film 'Assembly Rowdy' in which I played hero. The film was also a blockbuster and ran for 25 weeks at a stretch. I wish this film under his direction would also be a big hit.'

Director P Vasu, Vishnu and Marudhuri Raja also spoke.
