The Production No. 9 of Sri Sravanti Movies, with Sreenu Vaitla as director and Sravanti Ravikishore as producer with Ram of 'Devadasu'-fame as hero and Genelia as heroine was launched at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad on September 7.

Union minister and Darsaka Ratna Dasari Narayana Rao gave the clap, senior director K Raghavendra Rao switched on the camera for the muhurat shot.

Speaking on the occasion, director Sreenu Vaitla says, 'After watching 'Devadas' I thought of doing a film with Ram as hero. Several family subjects came on this banner so far. Most of the films that came in my direction are action entertainers. Writers Gopi-Mohan and Kona Venkat gave me a good story with a mix of both these combinations. It is a family subject with a love story and at the same time it has a nice action and entertainment. Devisri Prasad is giving tunes for our movie.'

Producer says, 'We will begin the regular shooting from September 24 and would complete the shooting with small breaks in between.'

Hero Ram and Kona Venkat also spoke to the media.
