When a top producer turns a director, then it is a huge news for the film industry. So is the case with MS Raju. He is making his directorial debut with the remake of a Kannada film.
Titled Vaana, it has newcomers in the lead and Raju says it will go well with the Telugu audience too. Given that the film is from the Sumanth Arts' banner, it is expected to have good music.
Hence, there was lot of enthusiasm as Dr Ramanaidu and Devisri Prasad released the music of Vaana yesterday night at the Ramanaidu Studios. The gala event had many industry big-wigs attending the do, not only to wish MS Raju success for his latest film, but also to wish him more success in his various endeavours.
Music has always been a strong point in Raju's films and this will be no exception he said and hoped the music will do well.
Kamalakar composed the music for the film and it goes without saying that the music would be perfect for the plot. Devisri Prasad who is composing the music for MS Raju's son's film, had some warm words for Kamalakar who had once played the flute in his team.
N Suryaprakasa Rao disclosed that he was the one who had suggested MS Raju to direct the film as he was holding the rights of the Kannada film Mungara Male. Dr Ramanaidu said he was happy Raju had taken the bold step to actually direct a film, though he himself had been contemplating it for a very long time.
Shyam Prasad Reddy too had nice things to say about the passion and the drive of MS Raju. He even compared him to VB Rajendra Prasad. As for Raju, he was only too happy that his dream of turning a director had finally come true.
