At the floor of Annapurna Studios, a ship that was erected for the shooting of a song, doubled up as the venue for the audio release function of Nagarjuna-Vishnu starrer Krishnarjuna. Directed by P Vasu and produced by Dr M Mohan Babu under the Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures’ banner, the film has Nagarjuna playing a special role as Lord Sri Krishna. It will be a modern God, who will be wearing smart suits.

The audio cassettes were released by 24 Frames Factory. Various dignitaries from different walks of life were present on the occasion. There was Justice Chalameshwar Rao, Justice Gopala Krishna, Public Services Commissioner Venkatarami Reddy and Shanta Biotech’s Varaprasad Reddy were among the chief guests. The first three of them released a cassette each for Nizam, Ceded and Andhra. The first CD was released by ANR.

Apart from them, the big surprise element was hero Balakrishna. He looked cheerful and jovial as he squeezed himself between Giribabu and Brahmanandam on stage.

ANR, Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav, Giri Babu, Sreenu Vaitla, Ramajogaiah Sastry, Sahiti were among those present at the audio function from the film fraternity.

Among those who made it were Mohan Babu’s daughter Lakshmi Prasanna and son-in-law Anand.

ANR praised Mohan Babu for being a prompt paymaster. He also added that both a film and song were best when they managed to draw attention to themselves. Balaiah too wished that the film would do well as the title had an interesting sound to it. He said that both Vasu and Mohan Babu had the knack of having good music in their films. Director Vasu said he was happy having got an opportunity to work with Mohan Babu’s banner and directing his son. Mohan Babu thanked Nagarjuna for taking time off to act in his film, though he chided him for charging him quite a bit.
