A gala function was organized to mark the completion of 100 days of 'Happy Days'. The film has been directed and produced by Shekar Kammula under the Amigos International banner has turned out to be the sensational hit of 2007.

The film made the industry wake up to the fact that different scripts with newcomers could work if told convincingly and innovatively.

Dasari Narayana Rao was present as the chief guest at the function held at Lalita Kala Toranam. The film’s young team comprising Varun, Rahul, Monali, Tamanna, Gayatri Rao and others were present to share the magical moment.

The highlight of the evening was NTR, who came to congratulate the cast and crew for their hard work and spirit. He confessed to chasing girls and not being able to get their attention. This had the audience in splits. 'Pademetu pottuna' was his favourite, he told the cast. He was all praise for their performances and said it was nice to have so many talented newcomers in the industry.

Dasari praised Shekhar for standing by his script and sticking to his convictions while making films. He told those present that he flew in from Delhi, so he could make it to the function.

Brahmanandam too had good words for Shekhar Kammula and said that he was in the same league as directors such as Bapu and Vamsi.
