A remake of the yesteryears film 'Pandurangadu' took place yesterday amidst much fanfare. The event was held at the Machilipatnam Hindu College compound yesterday evening.
The audio launch function was attended by top film personalities belonging to the Tollywood film industry. Bala Krishna, K. Raghavendra Rao, J.K. Bharavi, M.M. Keeravani, Krishna Mohan, Sneha, Suhasini, Archana, Gundu Hanmantha Rao, Chittibabu and Anant were among the guests who added sparkle to the event with their presence.
The audio launch was done by Mrs. Sailaja Ramayyar, Krishna district collector. When the hero of the film Bala Krishna spoke he said he was proud that it was his father, NTR, who was the first person who started doing variety roles in Telugu cinema. The actor was positive that this film would have a positive impact of the movie goers.
Bala Krishna also pointed out that at a time when the music of Telugu films was getting very westernized, he was happy that 'Pandurangadu' retained the original flavor of the soil. The hero stated that this film had a good message for the children who would start respecting their parents after seeing the film.
