Dada Saheb Phalke awardee Akkineni Nageswara Rao's illustrious career spans across six decades. The thespian has acted in hundreds of films and did varied roles. He has explored a gamut of emotions and topical subjects on the screen, by acting in more social, fantasy, mythological and dramas. He is someone who likes to savour his past and his frequent appearances on television corroborates the fact. The legendary Telugu actor's memoir titled Gurthukosthunnayi has been released on Thursday by Moser Baer. The VCD launch ceremony was held in Hyderabad and the event saw the Akkineni nostalgic for his illustrious past. Never to beg for a role, he quoted Missamma as the only instance that he could cite when he sought a role. Aptly titled Gurthukostannayi, the collection of 25 compact discs chonicles the life and times of ANR. The representatives of Moser present there said that the CDs are an objective expedition of the charming actor's career. It was infact an affair to remember for ANR's die-hard fans! |
