Birthday gift for Jaggu, Jagapathi Babu could not have asked for a better birthday gift.
The muhurat of his new movie Brahmastram was held yesterday with lot of fervor and fun.
Directed by Sooriya Kiran and produced by Nukarapu Surya Prakasa Rao on SP Creations banner, the movie is Jagapati’s big chance to get back to the big league.
His last few films (Pandu, Jagapati) did not exactly set the turnstiles on fire.
So Brahmastram is literally his big weapon to hit the target. Jagapathi has Shiv Kasi, a movie directed by his close buddy Arjun, ready for release.
Yesterday at the muhurat, K Kesava Rao, a well-known politico, sounded the clapboard while G Adiseshagiri Rao switched on the camera.
Thousands of Jagapathi Babu’s fans thronged to the venue to celebrate their hero’s birthday.
Jagapathi, overwhelmed by the show put by his fans on the occasion, was almost speechless. ‘This is the best birthday gift I could have had,’ he said in an emotion-choked voice.
He also spoke in glowing term about both the producer and the director
The film has three music directors combining under the name Vaibhava.
Brahmastram, with Gaytri mantram as a background theme, is a powerful film tackling a mother-son relationship. Appropriately then the mothers of the hero and the director were both at hand witness the launch of the movie.
The film would be released in April.
A search for a suitable heroine is on. |
