It was a gathering of stars introduced by veteran K Balachander to recall their happy days of working with the veteran director at the audio launch function of KB's 101st directorial venture Abaddam held in University Centenary Auditorium in Chennai on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan (two of the biggest finds of KB) said they owe their success to Balachander.

Rajinikanth said, 'Balachander had the knack of getting the best from every artiste. A skilled 'Guru', Balachander should do more films in the coming days’.

Terming KB as Rajarishi, Kamal Haasan, said, 'he is a great man who rewrote the Indian film history. He is like my father and the gathering of all stars introduced by KB are my family-members.'

The likes of Veteran actor Nagesh, Sivakumar, actress Jayanthi and lyricist Valee recalled their association with KB. All heaped praise on Prakash Raj for producing a movie for his mentor. Over 50 artistes introduced by KB were present on the occasion.

The audio of Abaddam which has musical score by Vidyasagar was released by Kamal Haasan and was received by Rajinikanth on the occasion.

Uday Kiran is the hero while Vimala and Geetu are the heroines of the movie.
