Pawan Kalyan is a reluctant star. In Tamil, Vijay too is somewhat similarly inclined.
In the event, it was indeed nice to see the two big names in their respective industries to share the dais at the launch of Bangaram’s audio.
The function had a quiet air of dignity and poise as it was held at the Sunethra Blind School at Hayat Nagar in Hyderabad.
The function also had a decidedly Tamil flavor with Vijay, Trisha, Dharani (the film’s director) and Vidyasagar (the music director) gracing the occasion.
Raja, producer AM Rathnam and others were also present.
Pawan, who was attending a audio launch of his film for the first time, stole the show with his straight-from-the-heart speech. He said he was humbled and moved by having the launch at the school for the visually challenged. Pawan lavished praise on Dharani for his innovative idea to have the audio release there.
Describing the children at the school to be special, Pawan said they never lack anything. ‘In fact, they use their faculties better’.
The children made everyone’s day by singing and dancing for a couple of songs from the movie.
Vijay, who spoke in vowel-perfect Telugu, pointed out his admiration for Pawan. ‘I have seen all of his films and Iam fond of his comic timing and action ability.’ Vijay should know as he had remade a couple of Pawan’s films in Tamil.
Trisha’s presence at the function was interesting as she has made only a special appearance in the film (the film’s lead girls are Meera Chopra and Reema Sen, who were conspicuous by their absence).
Trisha spoke about her own appreciation of Pawan. She also said it takes a special mind to conjure up such a function amidst such children. Dharani said visually challenged children are very good judges. |
