It is well aware that the successful Tamil film 'Vettaiyadu Velayadu' presented by Manikyam Narayanan with Padma Shri Kamal Haasan, Jyothika and Kamalini Mukherjee in the lead was dubbed into Telugu as 'Raghavan' by KVV Satyanarayana and Sakhamuri Panduranga Rao on the banner of Seventh Channel.

The film was proved a hit even in Telugu. A success meet was arranged at Prasad's Multiplex on September 9.

Speaking to the media, Kamal Haasan says, 'We are very happy that the film with was a super hit in Tamil was also equally hit in Telugu as well. It was once again proved that the Telugu audiences would always welcome a good movie. It has become very common to portray police as corrupt and bad in films. Why don't we present the other kind of honest and sincere police was the idea behind this film. Gautham Menon directed the film very well.'

Director Gautham Menon and producers KVV Satyanarayana and Sakhamuri Panduranga Rao, besides Bellamkonda Suresh and others participated in the programme.
