Chatrapathi is an important film for you. How would you describe it?
It is a film that has something for every one. It has emotions as well as ingredients liked by mass audiences. In that sense, it will be a wholesome entertainer. There is also a little twist and surprise. But I would rather not talk about it.
What do you think will be the attraction of the film?
It will be invidious to talk about them separately. It is also an impossible task. The songs are good. The ABCD song is my personal favorite as it has some wonderful dance movements (choreographed by Lawrence Raghavendra). The action sequences are also gritty. The sentiments will also be heart-touching.As I told you, it is for everyone.
You have not said anything about the director?
Well, he is the captain of the ship. Rajamouli is very understanding and has shown full grasp of the project. He knows what he wants and gets that from his cast and crew. He doesn't do things vaguely. He has precise understanding of the medium and the masses. And that is the key to success.
Your views on the heroine Shriya
She is a thorough professional She is a consummate actress and is a good experience to work with her. Our vibes were good and you will see it on the screens.
Do you have expectations on the film?
The obvious one will be that I would want it to do well. We have all given our best. But it is for the audiences to judge it. Personally, the satisfying aspect has been that I have really stretched myself and gone to extremes to get things right. In that sense, the hard work and effort is pleasing.
Where do you go from here?
I take one film at a time. In the short span I have been around (just six films old) I think I have managed to show my individuality. I think I have ensured that I be conspired in my own right. I want to continue this trend. My next film will be Pournami and I have other offers in the kitty.
