Now that you have been signed up for Sivaji does that mean that you have closed your options for Telugu? Certainly not. How will I turn my back on something that has made an actress that I am today? In fact, I am always ready for good projects in Telugu. How did you feel when you went through those series of failures?I always believe in doing my job. I would have obviously been happy had those films become hits. But those things were beyond me. I can't worry over things that I can't control. The thing was to stay there and persevere. I know it was only a matter of time before things turned around. How did Sivaji happen?Out of nowhere. Well, to tell you the fact, my performance in Mazhai (Tamil remake of Varsham) clinched it for me. When Shankar (Sivaji’s director) saw it he was apparently pleased and impressed. He met me and soon after I was in. You pipped several others who were in contention? But that is part and parcel of this profession. You win some, you lose some. Of late, the glamour show in your roles seems to be on the higher side? Actually, I don’t decide these things. The story and the director do. But I am never for vulgarity. Glamour, especially artistic and pleasant one, is fine. What next?I take films as they come. I don't go for them. Right now my hands are full. Let us see. Your dream rolePlenty. I love humor and performance-oriented roles. How do you maintain your hour-glass figure?Nothing special. I am naturally like that. All of us in our household have sense of hygiene and health. I am also into yoga. |
