Bheemili Music Review

'Bheemili - Kabaddi Jattu' is produced by Mega Super Good Films, R.B.Choudhary et al. and directed by Satya Thatineni. The movie's a remake of a Tamil super hit movie that had the music of debutant Selva Ganesh who has also composed for the Telugu version. The sound tracks have been retained even in Telugu that are impressive from a debutant's point of view.

With the movie dealing about a sport, a theme music track has also been included.

Music Composer Selva Ganesh stimulates everyone listening to this song on a positive note. The first few verses are quite a stimulant with the fantastic voice of Shankar Mahadevan. The percussions in the background are brilliantly composed. The vocals of Shankar Mahadevan along with Selva Ganesh's fillers including fast beats quite match the fast tempo of this song that brings out the essential spirit of the game of 'Kabaddi'. Though the song is predominantly a fast song, the tempo varies in between.

'Naalo Parugulu' is a sharp contrast to the first song! A melodious duet with voices of Karthik and Chinmayee. The flute rendition in particular will grab your attention and so is the singing by the chorus. Vanamali has penned a beautiful song that will surely be a chart buster. Selva Ganesh has composed an absolutely beautiful song with Indian instruments mostly though western beats can mildly be spotted. Both the singers have sung brilliantly in this soft song. The pick of the album!

Selva Ganesh seems to be a poetic musician. Showing his preference for using the sound of the flute, 'Neetho...' starts off with a note from the piano and then follows the sweet sound of the flute blended with the rhythms. Here springs the voice of Prasanna, in a soft tone. This is quite a pleasing song with lyrics of Vanamali suggesting that the hero sings in praise of his girl friend. A soft tune with a delicate variation in tempo of the song. Listen to this melody and you'll fall in love with it instantly.

'Pada Pada' is another melodious duet in this album that has the magical voice of Karthik along with Kalpana. The background music gives the steady tempo for this song though the beats as fillers give you a feeling of déjà vu. Similar beats have been used earlier in other albums. A nice song that demands at least one hearing.

Soul of Bheemili (Theme Music)   Listen here

This is the theme music of 'Bheemili' that tries to capture the soul of the movie. Perhaps used in the background in any of the vital scenes. The essence of love and even the spirit of Kabaddi have been musically shown in this theme track. The female humming is pleasing to hear along with the instrumentation of the song.

The Jathara song is a fun filled number. Suggesting a night backdrop, the song starts off with a verse that talks about the Bheemili village. Looks like the team members sing the song, possibly signifying an item song for the movie. Quite a bit of mass appeal has been included in this song with country beats in the background. This song is fast paced and the varying tempo is quite similar to the first song though not at all places. This song essentially has the village backdrop and rightly culminates on an entertaining note! Listen this for the vocals, very well composed!

Selva Ganesh has composed a wonderful album. The music is rich, fresh and is sure to be a hit. The response for the music will definitely be rewarding as soon as the movie releases in June.
