Second Show Preview

Even before the shooting of the new movie 'Second Show ' is complete, this movie with a bunch of youngsters in its cast and crew has hogged the headlines due to a very special reason-Dulqar Salman- Yes, this the welcome launch of Megastar Mammootty's son into filmdom. The shoot and publicity of the movie was keeping a low profile than expected till the official launch, which happened a few weeks ago.

Directed by debutante Sreenath Rajendran, the movie doesn't confirm to any particular genre, as per its director, who was earlier an assistant to Jayaraj. ''Moreover with an entire cast of youngsters, it was like an excursion for all of us, with intense fun going on with its making '' says Sreenath.

Second Show' is said to be a plot about the second chances in life. The movie reminds us that there are always second chances in life and that people who can wait patiently for that can achieve appreciable success, be it in love, revenge, or in any sort of emotions we experience in life.

'Second Show'  has Dulqar playing a character named Lalu, who lives a fun filled life with his friends such as Kurudi, Vikadan, and Neerali, all of which are being essayed by newcomers. Lalu who is village youth prepared to do any kind of job ultimately turns into a gangster. Gouthami Nair, the heroine of the film, hails from Alappuzha. She was preparing to join a medical college when she became part of showbiz. She plays a character of a village girl named Geethu. Well known Bollywood TV and cinema actor Sudesh Berry is to debut into the Malayalam film Industry with this movie. The other highlight is that for the first time in Malayalam, actor Baburaj will be cast in a double role in this movie.

Debutant Vinu Vishwalal has penned the screenplay and dialogue. The shooting of the film, estimated to cost about Rs 3.5 crore, had started few months ago, at locations at Kozhikode and Puducherry.

The cast includes veterans such as Rohini, Kunjan, and Bibin Perumbilikunnel,Anil Anto, Aneesh Pilathottathil, Avanthika,  and  Noora. The movie is cinematographed by Pappu while the music has been composed by Nikhil and music band Avial.

'Second Show' is being produced by AOPL Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, the banner which has produced 'Violin' early this year. The movie will hit screens in January next year.
