Well, it is just about the apt intro for the preview of this film.
The problems of Andala Ramudu are due to the problems of Aarti Agarwal. The young actress was cast as the heroine for Sunil’s debut as a hero.
There were many surprises. But it soon became a shock as Aarti met with an accident and had to be out of action for several months. In the film was stalled for no fault of its makers. But Aarti came back from recuperation and finished the movie. She then quietly flew back to the US, from where is rumored to no return.
But Andala Ramudu is not about return, but about take off --- Sunil’s as a hero.
Though the talented comedian has been at pains to establish that he is not attempting to become a regular hero, but only has taken this up because the script and story demanded a comedian kind of character.
In that sense, Andala Ramudu is right up his alley.
A remake of the Tamil hit Sundara Purushan, the story revolves around a desperate man’s (very unconventional in his approach) to woo his aunt’s daughter. Through some comical shenanigans, he manages to win her heart and also marry her. But the marriage doesn’t work. Why? Well that forms the tender and a brilliant climax.
Directed by Deepthi (P Lakshmi Narayana), Andala Ramudu is a serious story told in a light fashion.
The director says Sunil had a gala time in the role. He hopes the audience will enjoy similar feeling as the movie is a full-fledged entertainer.
For Aarti Agarwal too the movie is important. In a sense, the film’s performance would decide whether she would come back to films or not.
SA Rajkumar has composed the music. Paras Jain and NV Prasad have produced the film in the presentation of RB Chowdary. Mega Super Good Films has produced the movie.
Andala Ramudu is scheduled for release in August.
