YVS Choudhary had a press meet at his residence today morning to talk to the scribes about Okka Mogadu's opening. "There have been lots of expectations about the film and different fans have had their version of Okka Mogadu in their imagination. The theatres have been transformed into temples of worship for their star Balakrishna. Though the film officially released on January 11, the screenings started with the midnight show itself," he said.
"There has been heavy pressure due to Nandamuri Balakrishna playing the title role. Many of Balaiah's fans loved the film. Also the social awareness shown in the form of a freedom fighter is being well received by all his fans. Given today's times where the value of life is equal to nothing, we tried to tell the audience through this character that we need to respect the freedom and life of others. Everyone who has watched the film are expressing their happiness. The old get-up is also being liked by his fans both in India and abroad."
Another main attraction says YVS, "We have something for all types of audience -- emotion in the form of Simran, sentiment in the form of Balakrishna, romance in the form of the younger hero." He also said that songs were an added plus to the film.
"First day openings have been sensational and have broken records. We are hoping that it will break more records. It is natural to compare the film with Bharateeyudu, but since the story needed it, we went for that make-up. But our story is totally different," he adds. "We have focused on the value of life, instead of harping on corruption and it is an untouched element till date," concluded YVS.
