At a success meet organised by the makers of Adhurs, Junior NTR said that he views Adhurs as the first success after his rebirth. The actor, who met with an accident last April, suffered a severe injury and was bedridden for at least 45 days. Adhurs is the first release after that near fatal accident. Speaking in an emotional tone, NTR said that if Student No.1, Adi and Simhadri seemed successes of his last birth, Adhurs seems the first success of his new life.
"I don't know how to pay back to the Almighty, who I am indebted to," the actor said. He also said that he was not sure whether he would ever see his mother and well-wishers again in his life, when the accident occured. A passionate youngster, NTR said that his conviction of "doing something with life" became the light that saved his life. His joy over Adhurs' success knew no boundaries.
Vallabhaneni said that he was a great fan of the legendary NTR and making a film with the Junior meant doing a film with the greatest actor. He also stated that the film was an all-round effort of every department.
Brahmanandam, who is like the second hero of the movie, said that acting was in the blood of the Junior.
