Chashme Baddoor
After a failed outing with `Rascals', the master of comedies David Dhawan returns with full confidence with his next, comic caper `Chasme Baddoor', which is a remake of the original 1981 hit Sai Paranjpye's film starring Farooq Shaikh, Deepti Naval, Rakesh Bedi, Ravi Baswani and Saeed Jaffrey.
The latest version boasts of a fresh young cast such as Ali Zafar, Siddharth (Rang De Basanti fame) and Divyendu Sharma (Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame) along with southern beauty Tapasee who is making her Bollywood debut.
The film was in talks for veteran Rishi Kapoor's new avatar, where he sporting innumerable Tattoos and donning a hippie's look! With `Chashme Baddoor' audiences are going to have a treat as he is set to do tap-dancing after 36 yrs!
Talking about the film in an interview, David Dhawan had said, "The song `Har Ek Friend Kamina Hota Hai' is the story of the film." Citing that his remake is different from the original, the filmmaker said, "The basic feel is there but there is lot of changes. The soul, the thought of two kaminas and one accha is the same."
`Chashme Baddoor' was largely shot in Goa and then Mauritius.
The movie is produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and music is by Sajid Wajid.
The film hits theaters on 5th April, 2013!
