Capital Film Works will be celebrating a 'different' function on 5 August at the Chennai Trade Centre to commemorate the 100-day run of Chennai 600028.

Produced by S P B Charan and directed by Venkat Prabhu, the movie featuring newcomers was set around Gully Cricket.

The happy unit has planned to organize a mega event on 5 August in Chennai in which Kamal Haasan would take part.

Charan says, “We wanted to be very unique in celebrating our success. Unlike other 100th day functions, we are planning to celebrate the occasion with a difference. Plans are on to create an atmosphere reliving the memories of Indian cricket. We are inviting few sports personalities”.

“Kamal Haasan has accepted our invitation to grace the occasion. Also we would give away prizes to the winners of the Capital Film Works 2007 cricket tourney organized as part of the movie's success”, he adds.

“The winners of the cricket tourney will be playing with the stars of the Chennai 600028 cricket tourney. Prominent film personalities from Tamil cinema have been invited as guests to watch the proceedings at the YMCA Grounds”, adds Charan.
