Cheran, the director of 'Vettrikodi Kattu, Pandavar Bhoomi, Autograph, Thavamai Thavamirundhu' and the recent 'Pokkisham', on behalf of his production house Dream Theatres will start a new project 'Muran'.

To be made in a huge budget, the movie would star Cheran and Prasanna in the lead roles. 'Muran' will feature two newcomers as heroines and Jayaprakash playing a key role.

Wielding the megaphone would be Rajjan Madhav, son of acclaimed Malayalam music composer Raveendran, who scored music for films like 'His Highness Abdullah, Bharatham, Vaddakunathan' among others.

Rajjan Madhav has worked as co-director to filmmaker Mysskin for 'Anjathey, Nandhalala' and 'Yudham Sei'. Scoring music would be Rajjan's brother Sajjan Madhav.

'Muran' is about two men with contrasting characters and what happens between them. It would be narrated in an entertaining manner, says Cheran.

Prasanna who played a powerful role in 'Anjadhey', will repeat the act in 'Muran'. Planned for a release in January 2011, the movie would go to floors this August and would wind up by November.

Natrajan Pazhani would be the executive producer and the production is by Cheran. Story, screenplay, dialogues and direction are by Rajjan Madhav.
