During the trailer launch of Sivaji Ganesan’s ‘Karnan’s digital version, Cheran had an urge to young and budding filmmakers.

“Please don’t keep the legend’s films’ names for your movies. Today the scenario is such that anyone and everyone can get into acting, but keeping Sivaji Ganesan’s films names to a present movie brings disrespect to the ace legend. You can remake films like Maapillai and Billa but not Sivaji’s films as they are classics”!

The event was graced by several tinsel town celebs including Ramkumar Ganesan, BR Vijaylakshmi, P Suseela, TK Ramamurthy and several others. The film will see a re-release shortly in digital format, much to the delight of Sivaji Ganesan’s ardent fans.

Cheran currently has a multi-starrer, ‘Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal’ which will be helmed by Vasanth with Cheran, Arjun, Vimal, Muktha Banu and two newbies in the lead. The film is taking shape at a fast pace.
