Chinnodu

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Telugu Comments

Kanmnai is one of the few directors in the field who knows how to fuse arts ideas within a commercial matrix. But the man has not got his due. His last film Naa Oopiri was critically acclaimed yet did not create any major dent at the box office.

Sumanth too is almost similar. He is now come to be accepted as a serious and sensitive performer.

Still, the major thrust to his career is awaited.

Godavari, his last release, was well accepted. But Sumanth has still some way to go before he is seen to be as commercially bankable.

Sumanth, to his eternal credit, does not believe in compromising just for the sake of it. Instead, he loves to do a variety of characters and take up new and new challenges.

It is this thirst for things fresh that is behind Sumanth taking up Chinnodu.

The movie has a fresh backdrop and the story is very innovative, he says.

Charmme, who was the number one heroine of last year, is hoping to end the year with a big bang. Chinnodu, she hopes, will go a long way in that effort.

It is a compact love story with an interesting twist, says the director.

Sumanth and Kanmani aver that it will not regular or mundane.

The promise of freshness is welcome as what Telugu cinema needs now is some new air.

Ramana Gogula has tuned in some interesting melodies.

Chinnodu is pesented by Sri Sai Balaji Arts under Polygon Pictures Banner.

Katragadda Lokesh Dutt and C V Srikant have jointly produced the flick.

Dialogues are by Yelamanchili Sridhar while lyrics are Suddala Ashok Teja, Kandi Konda

The film is expected for release October end.
