Vijay is known to play safe in his movies. Not for him the experimentation. Not for him the luxury of laid back leisure of artistic movie. He prefers his films to be simple and mass entertainers.

But he may be forced to change his line of approach.

After Tirupachi, Vijay is going to act in a movie to be produced by Kalaipuli Thanu. Guess who directs the film? It is debutante John Mahendran.

He is the son of noted director Mahendran, who directed film like Uthiri Pookal and Mullum Malarum. Now, Mahendran was known for his soft, romantic and sensitive films. In other words, the exact opposite of what Vijay has been dishing out so far.

What has John Mahendran got to say on the whole thing? He says "my movie would be a romantic entertainer with a strong storyline and effective screenplay".

Too vague.

So what has Vijay got to say? He says "my character has been well etched out. I am confident that it would win me laurels like my earlier movies Poovae Unakaga and Thullatha Manamum Thullum".

Again, too vague.
