Director Murugadoss`s Kaththi has been adjudged as one of the colossal hits of Kollywood. The film has also grabbed the attention of the Tollywood filmmakers who are vying to seal the remake rights of the Vijay starrer.

Amid lot of speculations, actor Ram Charan has announced that they are holding deliberations with the producers of the original to acquire the remake rights of the Telugu version. He also hinted that he would be producing the Telugu version of Kaththi with his dad and actor Chiranjeevi in the lead role. Director VV Vinayak is in contention to direct this film.

Following the debacle of Bruce Lee, rumours were doing rounds that Chiranjeevi is in no mood to work in a remake and have instructed a bunch of writers to prepare a story for his much awaited 150th film. Although nothing has been confirmed, the news spread like a wild fire in the tinsel town. Surprisingly, mega brother Naga Babu is said to be equally excited about the remake since he feels that it has good scope to unleash the acting prowess of his son Varun Tej. The actor recently requested Vinayak to rope in Varun if Chiru is reluctant to star in the Telugu remake, says reports.

With two stars from the same family vying for the remake, it`s interesting to see who will have the last laugh!
