While theaters in the entire globe have gone for advanced digital projection there are a countable number of filmmakers who strive to give the audience the pure cinema viewing experience which only film can give. Quentin Tarantino who owns the New Beverly Cinema which projects film released his 'The Hateful Eight' in 70mm in 100 screens across the globe.

Christopher Nolan's 'Dunkirk' is about the retreat of the allied forces from the titular French beach during the second world war and it stars Tom Holland, Kenneth Branagh, Harry Stiles and Mark Rylance. The film which was shot on IMAX's high resolution 2D film cameras opens in a record 125 screens projecting in 70MM. It is a feat that only the most influential directors can achieve as theater owners are reluctant to bring back the old projection equipment and also there are very few staff who can operate them. The most awaited film opens world wide on the 21st of July.
