Malayalam film industry is still dominated by the bigwigs. The likes of Mohanlal, Mammootty, Dileep and Suresh Gopi still have enough offers and have been busy acting in films all round the year.

Fortunately, the success of Classmates, released this Onam featuring young and up-and-coming heroes has set a new trend in Malayalam film industry.

Several films have gone on to the floors featuring young actors and a few newcomers.

Director Kamal is churning out a couple of movies featuring newcomers, while Roshan Andrew's will be directing his Notebooks starring fresh faces. Also Vinayan is planning to cast a team of young actors for his film.

Success always sets a new trend be it any language.
