After being with some smaller movies that didn't worked out well at the Box Office, SureshGopi is back with a pucca action entertainer in the new movie 'Collector'.The movie directed by Anil C Menon was in production for quite some time and was completed only a few months ago.

The movie have the star in the title role of Collector. He is Avinash varma, the new Kochi District Collector. In fact, Avinash was working at New Delhi and was called to Kerala by the special interests of the state chief Minister. The C M has certain special aims in his mind when he was asking for such a dashing upright officer, the first one to save the city of Kochy from the arms of the Simhala group, who is plotting to destroy the peaceful life of the metro. The group with strong arms in the entire city has strong supports from every political party and bureaucracy. Avinash varma also have a strong enemy in mayor Sethulekshmy, who doesn't like the officer's outspoken remakes and behaviours.She also interferes in the working of Avinash, which makes his assignments, a tougher one to complete.

'Collector' scripted by Rajesh Jayaraman will also feature Lakshmy Sharma and Yamini as heroines.While Mohini appear as the Mayor of the city  Sethu Lekshmy,Anil Aditya, Janardanan, Baburaj, Nedumudi Venu, Ananya, Rajeev, Biju Pappan, Manka Mahesh, Ambika Mohan, Srihari, T.P. Madhavan, Krishnakumar, Chalipala, Abu Salim, Madambu, and Mullanezhi are also in the cast of the film.

Songs are written by late Gireesh Puthenchery and Sudhamsu, while Raghu Kumar is the music director. Manoj Paramahamsa and Gunasekharan are the cinematographers. While Joseph Nellikkal and Mahesh Sreedhar does the artwork,Arun handles the editing. Produced by Abdul Azeez and V.V. Sajan under the banner A Cube Productions, Collector will get to theatres by the end of this month.
