The Colonial Cousins who have been rocking the music scene with their highly sought after albums are debuting into film music direction for the very first time. The Colonial Cousins comprising of singers Hariharan and Leslie Lewis became popular among music lovers with albums such as 'The way we do it' and 'Unknown'.

The Colonial Cousins will be composing music for a Tamil film titled 'Modhi Vilayadu' to be directed by Saran. The movie will star Vinay and Kajal Agarwal. It will be a love story with a backdrop that is designed with action and thriller sequences.

Song recording for the film is going on in Kodaikanal right now. Once it is over, shooting is slated to start in exotic locations in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Dubai and the United Kingdom. Some of these locations would be picturized in such a way that the incidents are happening in Chennai.

The photo session for the film is over and shooting is slated to happen by the end of this month.

The Colonial Cousins will be joining the elite group of musicians like Shankar Ganesh, Vishwanathan Ramamoorthy, Jatin Lalith, Lakshmikant Pyarelal and Shankar Ehsaan Loy in the sense that more than one musician comes together as a team to compose music for films.
