If not for its brand value, 'Bheja Fry 2' would have been entirely rejected by the audience. However the curiosity to see what Vinay Pathak had to offer this time around in the sequel meant that 'Bheja Fry 2' managed to recover it's investment but just about. So while a little over 8 crores did come in for this moderately budgeted film, 'Bheja Fry 2' won't be able to make much progress beyond this because as per audience perception and belief, it is a reject.

The film would end its run around the 10 crores mark as evidenced in the bare minimum footfalls over the week and a huge drop around the second weekend. Disappointing since this is a franchise which could have done much more but now leads to a doubt whether it would lead to Part 3 or not.

Rest assured, none of the other releases of the film would be thinking of any sequel whatsoever. 'Always Kabhi Kabhi' is a box office disaster, 'Bin Bulaaye Baaraati' is a flop while 'Bhindi Baazaar Inc' and 'Cycle Kick' have gone entirely unnoticed. A horrifying week for Bollywood which saw a series of 'reds' in it's balance sheet, 'Always Kabhi Kabhi' was the biggest disappointment of all. Despite being a Shahrukh Khan production, it couldn't even register 2 crores at the box office and died a silent death. Panned critically as well as commercially, the film was no more in the running in its second week.

'Bin Bulaaye Baaraati', despite it's low cast and a decent beginning at some centres, is a flop with only 2.5 crores coming in. Aftab Shivdasani may not really be much worried about the fate of this film since it was mainly being led by a horde of comedians and wasn't quite pitched on his shoulders. 'Bhindi Baazaar Inc.' as well as 'Cycle Kick' had near to negligible collections and struggled to complete their first week at the limited screens where they were released.

What is remarkable is the fact that combined collections of 'Bheja Fry 2', 'Always Kabhi Kabhi', 'Bin Bulaaye Baaraati', 'Bhindi Baazaar Inc' and 'Cycle Kick' couldn't beat 13 crores collections that 'Ready' enjoyed despite being in it's third week.
