On Friday evening at a city hotel in Bangalore there was a ‘Crime Walk’ similar to cat walk! It was a funny arrangement made for the audio release of producer Mala S Suresh’s maiden film in Kannada ‘Parol’.

Eight prominent actors of ‘Parol’ Sooraj, Pradip, Likith Shetty, Vishwas and Sharath Kumar with Rani and Supritha dressed up in white costume came in a disguise as prisoners out of a prison set with twisting legs and shaking body. They all took their position and suddenly a cop from the Central Prison came with the sandalwood box of Lahari Recording Company that contained the audio CD of ‘Parol’.

Ace editor Suresh Urs is the story, screenplay writer and is Shekar is the director. Lahari Recording Velu and the special guest director cum journalist Indrajith Lankesh also joined the prisoners in disguise with the actors of ‘Parol’ to release the album.

Three songs and few scenes from the film were also screened before the audio release. Balaji K Mithran is the music composer. Songs are penned by S Bahubali, Nagendra Prasad, Hrudayashiva and Kaviraj.

I have got good support from the Kannada cinema industry and media in my career so far and I expect the same support for my debut film also said Suresh Urs. Director Indrajith the hoped that new actors would flourish from the ‘Parol’ team. Director Shekar was confident he would be a winner. Lahari Recording Velu hoped Suresh Urs would enter the Guinness Record book sometime later in his career.

On this occasion the prizes for ‘Parol’ contest announced. Venkatesh from Bangalore who was actually on ‘Parol’ in real life received the prize with four others.
