One of the luminaries in Kannada literature Dr SL Byrappa has come out strongly on the Congress –I policies in Karnataka. Giving his observation on the recent Veerashaiva-Lingayat new movement for a separate Dharma`, the writer said Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has made a wrong statement on the community that obviously is the nature of Congress I from the beginning.

As the Veerashaiva community is backing the former chief minister BS Yediyurappa, the state Congress I chief minister is bringing discordant note in the community.

Although the state chief minister is denying this aspect, the people are not ready to believe him. The level of this Divide and rule` policy is from the Delhi High Command alleges writer Dr SL Byrappa.

The division in the community is basically the policy of Congress I high command who belongs to Christianity. In the pre independence time even the British rule also followed the same technique of Divide and Rule`.

The majority of the people in the community are divided from Hindu religion and separate Dharma is given to them, it works out well for other religion like Christianity.

Dr SL Byrappa also attacked the state government on taking stock of the earnings from the temples. The same Muzarai department does not look in to other religious places.

The inter caste marriages are happening even in villages, but when it comes to breaking the Veerashaiva community it will be a disgrace to the 12th century reformer Sri Basavanna opines Byrappa.
