Daas
After a long gap, producers Lakshmi Movie Makers are back on the big screen with Daas. This is said to be a strong romantic action film starring Jeyam Ravi with noted Malayalam actress Renuka Menon acting opposite him.
Debutant director Babu Yogeswaran, who wrote the script for the mega-serial Annamalai, says: "the story and screenplay have been made in such a way that it will keep the viewers guessing throughout".
On the movie, he says, the hero is a Christian and the heroine a Hindu. They come to the house of a Muslim seeking refuge. Do they find shelter? I have told the story sprinkling it with love, sentiment and a lot of action.
Jeyam Ravi, who plays the hero, says, "even as I heard the story I had a feeling that it would be a success. This is my first straight film and also for the first time it is not our home production.
Renuka Menon, Salim Ghose, Vadivelu, Pepsi Vijayan and Monika are doing the main roles.
Yuvan Shankar Raja's tunes are certainly a highlight of my movie, says Yogeswaran.
Vijay Chakravarthy handles cinematography while Muralidharan, V Swaminathan and G. Venugopal are the producers.
