Salman Khan and 'Dabangg 2' - It is pretty much akin to life coming back full circle for everyone associated with the film. After 'Wanted', it was the blockbuster success of 'Dabangg' which ensured that Salman Khan stayed on to be invincible film after film.

'Ready', 'Bodyguard' and 'Ek Tha Tiger' - Each of these films formed an integral part of a successful journey that Salman has taken with back to back 100 crore grossers in a row. He missed it by a whisker with 'Ek Tha Tiger'. However the question on everyone's lips is - 'Will that shortfall be compensated with 'Dabangg 2'?'

Yes, the film is expected to open huge. Yes, it is all set to be fifth straight success of Salman Khan. Yes, the vibes so far have been positive and response to the promos and songs being quite good. However 200 crore as a number would be much more meaningful after the first weekend is through.

As of now, it can be comfortably stated that the opening weekend for this directorial debut of Arbaaz Khan would be next only to 'Ek Tha Tiger'. Since the film is releasing on a non-holiday, it would be quite a journey for the film if it brings in as much moolah as Salman's last Eid release. Still, it is expected that at the minimum, 60 crores would come in first three days itself.

The film is all set to open huge at single screens especially and it won't be surprising of 100% occupancy is seen across all prominent single screen theatres for the first three days.

As for multiplexes, anything around 60%-70% would be good enough to ensure maximum returns in quick time.

This means that while it is also a given that 100 crores would come in quite quickly and the film would most definitely cover a distance much greater than that, talks of 200 crores should come into picture only after the actual content is up there for display.
