Challenging star Darshan ‘Boss’ might be a debacle but not his charisma in box office of Kannada cinema and also in small screen.

The latest big news from ‘Sultan of Box Office’ Darshan is that the first historical film ‘Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna’ that fetched Rs.6.5 crores revenue from TV rights sold to Suvarana satellite channel is telecast on Ganesha Festival on next Monday. The telecast time is 4 pm and there is restriction to closing time of the film ‘KVSR’. As usual it is decided by the advertisement department of Suvarna satellite channel as it is for the first time the film is telecast.

Apparently the film KVSR is telecast at a time it is close to 300 days screening in theatres. Darshan under production film ‘Brindavana’ in K Madesh direction and producers Suresh Gowdru and Srinivasamurthy joint venture fetched Rs.5.47 crores. His previous films ‘Sarathi’ was Rs.2 crores plus but ‘Bul Bul’ with rage of ‘KVSR’ got Rs.4.17 crores for Toogudeepa Productions.

On the omnipresent Lord Ganesha festival it is a patriotic feeling in the houses of Kannadigas as ‘Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna’ starring Darshan as Rayanna and Dr Jayaprada as Kittur Rani Chennamma is a fight against British rule in India.
