It is not like any political 'Yathra'. It is 'Yathra' to say sorry to the people in nook corner of Karantaka by challenging star Darshan for what has happened in his life and also to extend thanks to the fans for making 'Sarathi' a huge hit in the box office.

The yatra was mooted by Darshan's brother Dinakar Toogudeepa, who directed Sarathi, and associates, Lingaraju and Mallikarjuna. It has been given the name 'Vijaya Yatre' (victory tour), in reference to his film Sarathi, which has been declared a hit despite having been released when the actor was in jail. Starting in Bangalore on October 19, the yatra will cover 40 towns, including Tumkur, Chitradurga, Davangere, Koppal, Gadag, Bijapur, Bagalkote, Belgaum, Dharwad, Hubli, Shimoga, Chikmagalur, Hassan, Kolar, Ramanagar and Mandya, in 18 districts before culminating in Mysore. Darshan will be accompanied by an entourage of 30 people, mostly the crew of his film.

Darshan has hired a Vovlo bus from KSRTC to travel all over Karnataka with his film team of 'Sarathi'.
