Priyamani and Deepak are playing the lead in 'Anguleeka' directed by Prem Aryan, presented by KVV Satyanarayana and produced by Koti Toomula and Ch Rambabu on the banner of Sri Sankhu Chakra Films. The shooting of the film was formally launched with the puja activities at the production office.

Speaking on the occasion, heroine Priyamani says, 'This is a typical character in my career. For every heroine, there will be one or two good films to talk about. While all the films where I bagged awards are on the one hand, the character in this film would be on the other. I can proudly say this. As Arundhati to Anushka, this film would be for me. I am sure that I would earn good name with this film.'

Deepak says, 'So far, I played several loverboy characters. Later I turned busy with some Hindi films. After a long time, I got a good opportunity to do a very good film. The story of the film dates back to 600 years and is almost like a Robinhood kind of character. At the same time, there is a good love story, but not a guest role like in Arundhati. My role would be from the beginning till the end. I am very fortunate to do such role.'

Director Prem Aryan says, 'The story of the film dates back to 600 years and the love story runs with the time cycle. I worked with Bollywood director Manishankar for two films. I worked in five films in directorial department for five films. I am basically a painter and animator. So, I wanted to do visual wonders and opted for this subject.'

Producer Koti Toomula says, 'We are confident that director Aryan would mould the story as was narrated to us because the hero and heroine are Deepak and Priyamani. We have decided to spend any amount of money. Regular shooting of the film would begin in January. The shooting would run non-stop and would be completed by the end of March along with post-production works. We are planning to release the film in the first week of April. A special set is being erected in Tirupati.' Kota Srinivasa Rao, Suman Setty, Manju Bhargavi and others are in the cast. Camera is by Chittibabu, music is by Sam Prasan (Vinayakudu-fame), dialogues are by Gopi, Sudarshan B, editing is by Marthand K Venkatesh, art is by Venkatesh, while action is by Dalapati Dinesh.
