For a good part of her soon-to-be-released 'Cocktail', Deepika Padukone is seen in just a shirt.

While the scenes are meant to be light hearted and add to the frothy flavour of the film instead of bordering on sensuality or erotica, one wonders whether Deepika was comfortable when all of this was just on paper.

Before signing the film, didn't she ever feel that it may all go a little overboard and there may be a point during the shooting when she may feel a little awkward to dress like that? "See, it is never about whether I was okay with doing something or not",

Deepika says after a small pause, "I knew that if I had chosen to play Veronica, I had to be super confident about the clothes and pull off those kind of scenes.

If I would have been one bit conscious about any of that or worry that how would I look if I end up putting on weight, then that discomfort would have shown.

The only thing I was conscious about was looking my best and not about doing what I did."

She admits though that once she was on board for the film, she did everything to make sure that she lived up to the standards that had been set keeping her in mind.

"Of course it wasn't a cakewalk for me to just get into a shirt and call for action.

I had to spend time to got myself in a great shape and also develop such a body language that it all looked casual rather than forced.

Today's audience is smart; the moment you try to fake something, they catch you", she says.

We would like to see that and more once the film hits the screens this Friday.
